I’m Tania, a passionate self-taught cook, crazy fitness enthusiast, loving mum and devoted girlfriend. I was brought up in Russia but have been living in the South East of England for the last 11 years. I created Fit Foodie Nutter as a creative outlet for sharing my quick yet healthy and nutritious recipes, as well as my passion for wellness and travel.
Being a busy mum, I don’t have the luxury of spending hours in the kitchen cooking elaborate meals, hence all of my recipes are easy to follow and quick to prepare. I focus on cooking nourishing, wholesome meals using organic, seasonal and where possible, local ingredients. Most of my recipes are free from gluten, refined sugar and are also candida friendly.
When I’m not working at my day job or running my business (I’m a graphic designer by day), I spend all of my free time in the kitchen cooking, developing new recipes and experimenting with new ingredients and flavours. I’m also studying a nutrition course to gain in depth knowledge about the nutritional power of food.
Although I live and breathe food now, it’s not always been the case. If you’d asked me to cook a meal for you six years ago, I would run as fast and far away from the kitchen as I could, being a helpless cook who couldn’t even prepare simple mashed potato (how can one get this wrong?!). However, as life have it, after a very emotional change in my personal circumstances and a marriage breakdown, cooking became a new emotional and creative outlet for me, which later turned into my passion.
If I’m not cooking or eating, I’d most certainly be in the gym, a yoga studio or outside (British weather permitting!) having fun with my eight year-old daughter and my partner.
